High mobile phone use may impact sperm count

A new study conducted by a team from the University of Geneva in collaboration with the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute explored the effects of mobile phones on semen quality of young men. This large study supported by SCAHT covers more than a decade of data and included 2886 Swiss men aged between the ages of 18 and 22. The group who reported using their phones more than 20 times a day had a 21% lower overall sperm count compared to rare users (< 1 time/week). However, there was no decline in the shape and mobility of the sperm.
