Lush Prize launches 1 September
Lush Prize is a £250,000 global prize fund supporting scientists and campaigners working to end the use of animals in research and testing.Nominations for the Lush Prize 2026 will open on 1 September 2025 and financial award categories are: Science, Young Researcher, Training, Public Awareness and Political Advocacy. There are also several non-financial Recognition Awards.More information can be found at www.lushprize.org

Anmeldeschluss: 9 September 2025 "One Health: Konzept, Fallbeispiele, Herausforderungen und Umsetzung" (hybrid)
Das «One Health»-Konzept ist ein ganzheitlicher Ansatz, um die Gesundheit von Menschen, Tieren und Umwelt zu verbessern und nachhaltig zu schützen. Es erkennt an, dass die Gesundheit von Mensch, Tier und Umwelt eng miteinander verknüpft ist. Wir präsentieren Fallstudien aus interdisziplinären Forschungsinitiativen, die den «One Health»-Ansatz unterstützen, diskutieren die wissenschaftlichen Herausforderungen bei der Umsetzung des Konzeptes und stellen neue Ansätze zur Risikobewertung biologischer und chemischer Stressoren vor.

Prof. Ellen Fritsche has been awarded with the Poulsson Prize
The Poulsson prize is a recognition of the substantial contribution that Professor Dr. Ellen Fritsche has made to the scientific development of the field of toxicology and as an inspirer also in Norway. The Norwegian Society for Pharmacology and Toxicology (NSPT) invited her to give her Poulsson-lecture in Norway which she did on 25 January 2025 at the NSFT Winter Meeting in Beitostølen.
