Call for research projects in applied human toxicology open - Submission deadline is 8 August 2022

The Swiss Centre for Applied Human Toxicology (SCAHT) has launched a call for targeted research projects to complement its existing research competences, broaden its scientific network, and strengthen the existing core areas of its 2021 – 2024 research programme.

The SCAHT research programme is focused on toxicological problems relevant to human health protection and addresses important data gaps in the human safety assessment of chemicals from all regulatory sectors.

Thematically, project proposals must fit into one of the following categories:

  • Toxicology and female-specific diseases
  • Developmental Neurotoxicity (DNT)
  • Mixtures
  • Substances of concern and their replacement

SCAHT funding for individual projects is limited to CHF 140’000 for a research duration of 2 years. Due to the nature of SCAHT funding, successful projects are expected to be co-funded through in kind contributions (for details please refer to the call document).

Projects will be selected in a one-stage process. Interested researchers can submit projects per email to the attention of Stéphanie Boudon (stephanie.boudon@scaht.org), using the application form until 8 August 2022.

Detailed information on the requirements for participation and the submission and selection procedures are available in the call document and the framework document.
